I think the republican message is a message of hope: even if you don’t understand an issue, you can have deep convictions and take action on it, based on who pays you the most.

Would you like to live in a world where you had to know the rules of baseball to be an umpire? Of course not! It’s the american way: you can be whatever you want to be! Things like knowledge, education or innate aptitude should never be allowed to stand in the way of becoming an airplane pilot or the chairman of the congressional science committee.
