Object-oriented programming has one major flaw which is that no one agrees what it really is. Everyone’s definition seems to be a collection of completely orthogonal ideas, most of which belong equally to some other, non-OOP paradigm. It makes it impossible to to get a clear answer to questions about the topic. To the best of my knowledge, through extensive reading, the best answer I can come up with for what object-oriented programming is is that it’s programming.
